Taking TURN IT OFF to the Streets of San Francisco
Thanks to the efforts of my terrific publicist Michael Nolan, I did a number of media interviews and book signings in the Bay area in early June. The highlight of the five-day trip was a feature story cooked up by veteran reporter Bill Schechner of local CBS affiliate KPIX; the story ran on the June 13 KPIX evening news:

Bill made up the two signs you see here and we arrived in the
heart of the downtown business district around noon. He planned
to carry both signs himself and try to interest people in stopping
to talk to me about their use or overuse of technology, and I'd
give them advice on how to cut back if desired - all while his
cameraman taped everything.

These photos show two of the people who decided (were convinced?) to stop by and talk in my "mobile office" on the street. Much to my surprise, lots of people were willing to do so - and we had some good discussions about the role that technology plays in their lives.
Did all this lead to any book sales? It's hard to say - but we had lots of fun trying!
